Do U think Society is ready for Personal Responsibility???

rhonda9 Posted by rhonda9 at 12:17 AM on March 15, 2009 Comments comments (10)

Hello Members,

Just a question that I hope will generate a bit of response!! Are we as a society ready to take Personal Responsibility for our actions.  Are we able to realize that we all have choices to make and NO ONE is responsible for those choices but ourselves?

Is it time for people to stop 'blaming their upbringing' on their behaviour?

Personally I am one of 13 children with an alcaholic father and a mother whom had at least 5 fathers for my siblings, but I chose another path becuase I saw that they were not happy.  I feel my mother looked for love outside of herself all her life and my father chose to drink becuase he needed to escape from his own reality, now I might be wrong but that is how I saw it at a very ealy age and deliberately chose another path for myself.

By the way I sat at both my parents bedside when they each died and felt their unmistakeable love for me and I was able to return it.

From my learning over the many years I feel I chose those parents for a special reason, to teach me what I needed to learn and in that understanding I have never felt the VIICTIM. I have felt they were good teachers who taught me what I needed to know and I personally dont know what it cost their souls to play these roles for me and my siblings.  Not all of us turned out the same, we each turned out a bit different but mostly honorable and loving people.

What do you think about this subject?  I would really love some interplay on this subject!!

Peace and Love

The Difference between Butter and Margarine

rhonda9 Posted by rhonda9 at 09:48 PM on February 20, 2009 Comments comments (2)

Pass The Butter ... please .

Margarine
was originally manufactured to fatten turkeys. When it killed the turkeys, the people who had put all the money into the research wanted a payback so they put their heads together to figure out what to do with this product to get their money back It was a white substance with no food appeal

so they added the yellow coloring and sold it to people to use in place of butter. How do you like it? They have come out with some clever new flavorings.

DO YOU KNOW..
the difference between margarine and butter?

Read on to the end...gets very interesting!

Both have the same amount of calories.

Butter is slightly higher in saturated fats at
8 grams compared to 5 grams.

Eating
margarinecan increaseheart diseasein women by 53%over eating the same amount of butter, according to a recent Harvard Medical Study.

Eating
butter increases the absorption of many other nutrients in other foods.

Butter
has many nutritional benefits where margarine has a few
only because they are added!

Butter
tastes much better than margarine and it can enhance the flavors of other foods.

Butter
has been around for centuries where margarine has been around for less than 100 years

And now, for Margarine..

Very high in trans
fatty acids ..

Triple risk of coronary
heart disease .
Increases total cholesterol
and LDL (this is the bad cholesterol) and lowers HDL cholesterol, (the good cholesterol)

Increases the risk of cancers up to five fold.

Lowers quality of
breast milk.

Decreases immune response.

Decreases
insulin response.

And here's the most disturbing fact.... HERE IS THE PART THAT IS VERY INTERESTING!

Margarine
is but ONE MOLECULE away from beingPLASTIC..

This fact alone was enough to have me avoiding margarine for life and anything else that is hydrogenated (this means hydrogen is added, changing the molecular structure of the substance).

You can try this yourself:

Purchase a tub of margarine and leave it in your garage or shaded area. Within a couple of days you will note a couple of things:

* no flies, not even those pesky fruit flies will go near it (that should tell you something)

* it does not rot or smell differently because it has
no nutritional value ; nothing will grow on it. Even those teeny weeny microorganisms will not a find a home to grow. Why? Because it is nearly plastic .. Would you melt your Tupperware and spread that on your toast?

Prayers for our Bushfire Survivors, Deceased and the fighters

rhonda9 Posted by rhonda9 at 06:38 PM on February 09, 2009 Comments comments (4)

I was praying last night for all the Bushfires People..and animals, I could not speak for the emotional enormity of it all.

Please put your name to this prayer or put your own prayer up...it will be welcome!

Dear Universal Lord of Love and Peace,

We ask that you be with all of the Bushfire survivors, deceased, fire fighters and animals.

I ask that your love shall cover them all like a blanket of warmth and love, that their hearts be lifted up by the people of Australia and the World by hearing about and receiving what ever they need in abundance, whether it be grief councelling, finances or just a hug...

A special thought to please protect our beuatiful animals that they be led to safety..

And that no soul that passed over in the horror of the furnace of fire be left without a comforting arm to greet them upon their arrival in 'heaven'....

Lord I cannot ask anything of the 'firebugs' that lit most of these fires deliberately but mercy upon their souls...Lord you are not a verngeful Being and I ask that you keep my heart in a state of love so that I will not judge either...

All this I ask in Love...

Rhonda.

A really significant day in World History

rhonda9 Posted by rhonda9 at 02:46 AM on January 21, 2009 Comments comments (0)

Hi Members,

What an amazingly significant day this has been 'yesterday in USA'.  We now have a President who I personally feel is going ot make a huge difference in the World.

I haven't heard the whole of his speech but the part I did hear sounded so different from al the razzamatazz of the past, I heard him say something about it is time for everyone to be Personally Responsible for their lives, or for their choices!!  Now that is ground breaking talk from an American President who doesnt promise to do it ALL for everyone...

I ask that all Spiritual Minded People pray that President Obama will be strong enough to carry out his vision that will effect not only America but all the World...

Hooray for the New President Elect, President Obama.

love and light

Rhonda.
